Floral arrangements delivered to seniors – Red Bluff Daily News
Over 350 Christmas Joy arrangements delivered by Haley Ray and the team at Tehama Floral.
Deliveries included six senior health care facilities, a hospice, in-home meals across the county and smaller establishments including Corning. More than 100 more are expected to be delivered in the coming days. Thank you, Red Bluff and County Tehama, for your generosity.
Residents have told us before that they feel so loved. A precious lady had just lost her husband, knowing that the holiday season was going to be difficult for her. But she said it was a great blessing to her. This is the whole story.
Lassen House staff expressed their gratitude in writing:
âOn behalf of all of our residents and staff here at Lassen House, we would like to thank you for all the businesses that have come together to provide all of our residents with beautiful flower arrangements. This pandemic has hit our residents both physically and emotionally. The hardest part is that our residents cannot spend time and see their families every day. So the joy to see all of our residents receiving the flowers was just amazing and to see their faces lit up with happiness is so wonderful. Our Red Buff community is amazing and always comes together this Christmas season. Thanks again to everyone who donated a record number of over 450 arrangements.
Over 200 gifts were given to CHiPs for Kids for needy youth in the area, and more than 140 people celebrated Christmas and donated at the bedroom’s Christmas breakfast on Thursday.
Thank you, Red Bluff Dodge organized this great event. Hot and delicious breakfast was provided by the Los Mariachis restaurant. We had a great networking with Red Bluff and the best in Tehama County. It was a great way to celebrate the holiday season with friends and business associates.
The ugliest sweater contest was amazing with so many winners including our grand prize winner Catherine Fantone. Magnificent door prizes were awarded at the end of the event.
The director’s corner
Thank goodness for the Christmas season. In a year filled with uncertainties and glimmers of hope, we could certainly all enjoy a big break from the monotony of it all. I love Christmas because it brings us back to the center of hope, joy and giving. This is what happened 2000 years ago in this tiny manger and this is the miracle that continues to happen in our lives as well.
I am grateful for you, the support you have shown to the chamber and the community, and I hope the best for you, your work and your family during this wonderful season. Have a wonderful Christmas season and we must not forget to take a break and enjoy those who are dear to us.
– Merry Christmas, Dave Gowan, CEO
